My name is Tara Stubbs-Swaby and I was born in Falmouth to parents Hugh Stubbs and Adassa Cunningham and was the first child born to my dad and the last one for my mom. I grew up in Salt Marsh in the parish of Trelawny. This book is about my life growing up being molested and raped at a tender age, abused mentally and also physically but through God I have been going through my process of healing. The purpose of this book is to enrich and uplift young women and boys who have been molested and hurt and even sold out by their family and friends. The shame and the guilt that comes from these encounters if not addressed can drive a person to suicide, depression, self-mutilation, promiscuity and overall, a life of being an abuser as well.

I was born in Coinco, a picturesque valley in Chile, near the wild and untamed Río Cachapoal. I spent my childhood in the countryside, in a small town called Cerrillos, nestled between rolling hills.
Growing up so close to nature, I developed a deep connection to the land—one that has shaped me in ways I continue to discover. I am 24 years old, and I carry the intuitive, deeply feeling essence of my Cancerian nature.
Art has always called to me. I am a sensitive and dedicated soul, drawn to creativity as a way of elevating the world’s energy. My interests extend into esoteric realms—tarot, astrology, and the unseen forces that weave through our lives. And then there is music. Music is my heartbeat, my refuge, my passion.
In my teenage years, I discovered a natural inclination for leadership and became actively involved in student projects. Disillusioned with the Chilean public education system, I sought alternative ways to learn and create meaningful experiences for myself and my peers.
At 18, my journey took a transformative turn. I began traveling as a Worldpacker, exploring the landscapes and cultures of southern Chile, Peru, Brazil, and the majestic Andes. At 21, I moved to Mexico, a place that became a canvas for my artistic expression. There, I embraced performance, joining a band, rapping, and participating in four artistic residencies in San Pancho, Nayarit. Those experiences deepened my love for the stage, the raw energy of live performance, and the beauty of artistic collaboration.
It was in San Pancho that I made a quiet yet resolute decision—I would publish my first book of poetry. I began collecting my writings, shaping them into something that felt whole, something worth sharing. Initially, I planned to publish through a house in Guadalajara, but life, as it often does, had other plans. I returned to Chile, and a year later, I brought What the Wind Whispered in My Ear into the world through La Caza del Libro, a publishing house in Rancagua. I launched the book in my hometowns—Doñihue, Rancagua, Punta de Lobos, and Pucón—sharing my words first with the people who had shaped me.
